A recent transplant from the D.C./Baltimore metro area, Abigail brings enthusiasm and ingenuity from the east coast to work here in the Pacific Northwest. With a background in art and garden care, she designs plantings compositions with thoughtfulness for movement, light, and color, and streamlining maintenance requirements that focus on ecological improvement.

Abigail has a place in her heart for classic design and english cottage gardens that she enjoyed from an early age with her grandmother. Her vision for landscapes moving forward from her work in traditional horticulture is to free gardens and habitats from the expectations of standard planting forms and management practices and explore naturalistic landscape experiences that celebrates the local ecologies and sense of place where we live.

Abigail holds a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Morgan State University, which gave her an invaluable education that inspires her to stay active in contributing her skills for racial and environmental justice, community vision, landscape design and outreach.   She resides in Portland, Oregon with her partner and son.
